Mark those calendars, folks!
Dates have been announced for not one, but two Knoxville music festivals. Presented by Blank News, Second Bell, Knoxville's new riverfront music festival coming to Suttree Landing Park, is set for Saturday, August 18th. Lineup announcements for that one are coming soon.
Big Ears has also announced its dates for the 2019 fest. March 21st - 24th, the A.C. Entertainment-produced music festival returns to downtown Knoxville. Now that Rhythm N' Blooms has announced its plans to move to May, there's a little more separation between Knoxville's two biggest music festivals in the spring. That means there's plenty of time in between to decompress, sleep a bit, rehydrate, ice your knees or whatever, and get back out there!
According to the press release, "Announcement of the 2019 dates comes on the heels of the announcement that the National Endowment for the Arts awarded the Big Ears Festival an Art Works grant of $20,000." Festival lineup announcements are coming up soon for Big Ears as well, and they may start sooner than you think. Tickets will go on sale for the 2019 festival on Friday, June 1st at 10am.
