KMW Premiere: Mic Harrison and the High Score - "Warm Winter Day"

It's been three long years, and we are so ready for a new Mic Harrison and the High Score record! The wait is almost over as Vanishing South will be out on Friday, March 10th, and it will be available on vinyl! We're super pumped to be able to share one of the songs with you ahead of that release date. You can stream "Warm Winter Day" above.

Vanishing South is eleven songs of satisfying southern rock n' roll. It's one revelrous bar tune after another with the exclamation point of awesome guitar solos by Robbie Trosper on each one. The record calms down and gets serious for a moment for title track, a bittersweet love song to the south. Although, even that song has an awesome guitar solo as well.

Then, almost as an apology for slowing things down for a second, it's immediately followed by a roaring surf-rock tune called "Murder Surf" that rocks so hard it could raise Dick Dale from the dead. (Edit: Scratch that last bit. Just Googled it. Dick Dale is still alive. He's 79 and still tours on occasion. Sorry, Dick!)

The album closes with the song "If You Happen To See Her," a soulful rock tune with horns that will make you melt.

You can (and should) catch Mic Harrison and the High Score this weekend as part of Waynestock: For The Love Of Drew at Relix Variety Theatre. They'll go on Saturday at 9pm. And don't forget to pick up a copy of Vanishing South on Friday, March 10th.

Huge thanks to Mic Harrison and company for letting us do the honors of debuting their song!
